Heavy Cream

Heavy cream, also known as heavy whipping cream, is the thick, high-fat portion of fresh milk that rises to the top due to its lower density. It typically contains between 36% and 40% milk fat. Heavy cream is a concentrated source of fat-soluble vitamins and provides a significant amount of energy in a small volume. It is virtually free of lactose and casein compared to whole milk, making it more tolerable for some individuals with minor dairy sensitivities.

Within specialized weight loss protocols, heavy cream is utilized for its high caloric density and its ability to promote satiety. It is frequently used in fat milkshakes or added to meals during fat-loading phases to help reach the high caloric targets required to stimulate the hypothalamus. Because it is primarily composed of saturated and monounsaturated fats, heavy cream serves as an efficient fuel source that supports the transition to a fat-burning metabolic state while providing a palatable way to increase lipid intake.
